Training
We have a number of instructors who can help you on your journey of learning about Choice Theory and its applications.

Basic Intensive Training
You will learn the underpinning theory in a practical and meaningful way, from which to build insights as you put Choice Theory into practice in your personal and professional life. Learning about the psychology of human behavior with Choice Theory, enables participants to put it into action using Lead Management principles.
There is a combination of clear explanations with practical role-play practice and hands-on exercises where you will learn powerful techniques to help yourself and others to navigate challenges and achieve success.
Basic Practicum
This is approximately 6 months of exploration of your use of Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management. It involves a minimum of 15 hours face to face contact with your supervisor (can be the same person who instructed your BIT, but not necessarily). It includes the development of personal growth reports, case studies and some reading of William Glasser’s work.
Advanced Training
You will need to complete the practicum completion form which will be sent to GANZ who will advise you of possible training dates and the venue for this advanced stage. You will have a different instructor from your Basic Intensive Training, as required by the Institute. This course digs deeper into the theory and helps you develop effective questioning/counselling techniques.
Advanced Practicum
This training includes discussions about ongoing personal growth and more reading of William Glasser’s work and other forms of contact with your practicum supervisor including online role playing. With support from your supervisor, you are asked to prepare and carry out a significant piece of Choice Theory work.
Certification
Once you’ve completed the Advanced Practicum and both you and your supervisor agree you’ve met the program criteria, you can enroll in the Certification process. As well as additional skill building this process involves a 15-minute presentation you’ll deliver to other Certification participants.
Faculty Training
Once you have certification, you can promote, discuss, run short workshops on Choice Theory and Reality Therapy with others and become an approved Take Charge of Your Life Facilitator. You can also continue training to become an instructor yourself, firstly as a practicum supervisor, then as a facilitator of the Basic Intensive Training.

This six hour workshop brings to life the powerful concepts of Choice Theory. You will walk away with new knowledge about why you do what you do and why others do as they do.
Collegial Choice Coaching
In this series of workshops participants learn about and non evaluative teacher to teacher coaching based on the concepts of Reality Therapy and Choice Theory.
